Share:

February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness day, a day that celebrates kindness and the whole pay it forward mentality, which is what we talked about with Kindness author Gill Hasson. Showing kindness is a wonderful and essential aspect of human interaction that can contribute to creating a more compassionate and harmonious society. Here are some ways to keep showing kindness in your everyday life:

  • Practice empathy
  • Be a good listener
  • Smile and make eye contact
  • Offer assistance
  • Volunteer
  • Give compliments
  • Practice random acts of kindness
  • Be patient and understanding
  • Show gratitude
  • Practice self-compassion
  • Foster inclusivity
  • Avoid negativity
  • Teach kindness
  • Support causes you believe in
  • Educate yourself

As John Stuart Mill in 1867 said: “Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.”

So how do we keep showing kindness?
