Books celebrating Asian heritage to mark the Lunar New Year

It’s the year of the rabbit according to the Lunar New Year, as billions start to celebrate the beginning of Chinese New Year. In many parts of Asia, the new year arrives at the end of January and middle of February, in accordance to the Lunar calendar.In order to celebrate Asian heritage, here are three amazing writers sharing their favourite books.

These works were recommended by Weina Dai Randel, who is the award-winning author of four novels, Night Angels, The Last Rose of Shanghai, The Moon in the Palace and The Empress of Bright Moon. As well as Marie Myung-Ok Lee, a Korean-American author, novelist and essayist. She is a cofounder of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop (AAWW). And Frances Kai-Hwa Wang is a freelance writer and speaker based in Michigan and Hawaii:
