In modern society, busyness is often equated with success, hence we spoke to Crazy Busy author Thijs Launspach on how to stop. Busyness used to be a virtue back in the old days before mobile phones and information overload appeared in our palms and began to fill every single idle void. Now it’s become a joy-sucking, and frankly unhealthy habit we all need to get real about.

So how do we stop being over-busy?

Thanks to the following guests for participating:

Dutch psychologist, author, and an expert on stress management Thijs Launspach teaches at The School of Life Amsterdam. He is a trainer and keynote speaker on stress and burnout and writes a weekly column for a national newspaper in the Netherlands. He has written several books on stress management and millennials in the workplace. In Crazy Busy: Keeping Sane in a Stressful World, he examines why we often work ourselves to the bone and what we can do to prevent this.

Alexis Haselberger, a time management and productivity coach who helps people do more and stress less through coaching, workshops and online courses.

Andrea Preziotti, founder and writer at Modern Vintage Ink, LLC.

Amanda Craven, an accredited and licensed clinical hypnotherapist, life coach, psychologist and author based in the UK with a global client base.

Parenting teenagers expert and psychologist Angela Karanja.

Anna Hamill owns a small business called And Hope Designs.

Daniela Wolfe, founder and CEO at Best D Life – Helping You Find the Bliss in Your Busy.

Jennifer David is a mother-of-three and runs a business called Debutots.

Meiko Patton, a federal employee and creator of I AM Unbreakable, an adult affirmation colouring book for women of colour.

Sally Anne Carroll is an Integrated Life & Career Coach for Reinvention & Sustainable Success.

Here are some of the resources from the show:
