Over the past two decades, there has been a significant cultural shift globally, with individuals leading and organizing in new ways to build a more purpose-driven society. This shift has been coupled with a social and technological revolution, bringing new global consciousness into the professional world. The Anthem Awards, organised by the Webby Awards, introduced this category in response to the rising number of submissions in purpose and mission-driven work.

The Anthem Awards stand as the largest and most comprehensive social impact award, covering five areas of impact work and seven causes. They aim to honour organisations, brands, and individuals that create a long-lasting impact worldwide. The awards also feature The Anthem Fund, supporting emerging individuals and organisations working towards these recognised causes. This year, the fund partnered with the Billion Oyster Project. This year’s judges included the likes of author, actor, and social justice humanitarian Ashley Judd, and actor, director and producer Daniel Dae Kim.

With over 2,000 submissions from 44 countries and significant involvement from the Anthem Community Voice, the awards celebrated their 3rd Annual Winners on January 30, 2024.
